Tattoo

For years now I have been contemplating getting a tattoo. I have always known I wanted to get a fairy or elf tattoo, however, I have realised this is very girly indeed. I don't care, I have kinda pointy ears and I want an elf that share similarities with me. Today I have been procrastinating as much ever and have been looking for something similar to the image I have in my head, fuck it's hard to find anything remotely simple in design and NOT at all tacky or sleazy. I might have changed my mind from the elf to maybe a flower from Else Beskow's book illustrations, or maybe a fairy from Cicely Mary Barker. I need help! I want something simple and delicate, an image that can stand alone without colour (since I don't want colour, it fades anyway), even a simple tribal-esque design might do...I don't really have the money, but I thought maybe now, after thinking about it for ten years, I could find the courage and at least pick a design to see how much it would be. Then there's the issue of where to place it on my body, hip stomach area, lower back, side of the ribcage, arm, shoulder? The only place I know I don't want it is on my legs, ankles or feet. I guess I will just keep looking, but I want a costume made one, something special and unique to me. I don't want a tattoo that I might end up seeing on someone else body, know what I mean?
