the dream

I was on a ferry, one of those that sail regularly between Copenhagen and Oslo, DFDS to be accurate. This was the feeling I got from the place, it looked exactly like when I was a kid. I basically grew up on those boats, going back and forth between the two countries throughout my life. Anyway back to the dream: so I was on the ferry trying to find my family, in particular my sister. She was getting married and I was late. I ran up and down the stairs, all of which is always carpeted. Actually when I think about it these kinds of ferries were the only place until I moved to the UK that I ever saw fully carpeted areas. Why is it that they are carpeted? Ok, I'm getting off topic again. At first I was calm, thinking I would find it eventually, I mean it's a ferry, not a big space one would think. However, this proved false in my dream, and as I was running up and down the stairs, down corridors, and anyone who's been on one of these ferries know that these are not very wide, have no windows and usually lead you awkwardly towards your goal destination, running in and out of the open foyer-like spaces one find on these ferries. Every time I cut a corner I thought I would find my family. Finally in a strike of panic I ask someone, and the person (don't remember sex or look of the person) tells me, in a kind of 'this woman is crazy/stupid' way, "It's right there, around the corner." I turn the corner and there I am faced with a live size Pantheon (yes, like the one in Rome). I remember not being surprised in my dream, but I am puzzled now, by the fact that this relatively large structure could fit inside the 'little' DFDS ferry. Furthermore, there was a door to enter into the temple, I peak inside to see whether or not my family is there. The inside looked as if the inside of an American town hall from a movie. No one there, someone then, who I don't know, tells me to go behind the temple. I also see a lot of security and ask someone what is going on, and they say someone famous has just been married inside the Pantheon. I can't remember if I was told who, but I have a feeling it was Penelope Cruz. I run to the back of the building and find a long white snake shaped travelator moving steadily towards the building. At the beginning of which I finally see my sister and my father. He is holding a white strapless wedding dress, while my sister is standing there naked with her arms raised to fit into the dress. She and my dad step onto the travelator and while it is slowly moving towards the building, which at this point seems very far away, my father fits my sister in her dress. However, at this point I can feel she is very anxious and the dress is very hard to fit into. I am also stressed and get easily angry, my sister and I start arguing about the fact that the travelator band is still not quite white, because some of the squares that make up the moving band are black and not white. For some reason it had been checkered for the previous wedding. And the crew, who by now have turned into Italians rather than being Scandinavian, had not done their job properly before starting the moving sidewalk again. While we argue over this our father, who usually has a very short temper, is the only one that is calm. The last thing I remember before waking up is that I see the two of them on the travelator moving away from me towards the temple.

How could the Pantheon fit inside this ship? What a dream. Don't know what to make of it. I usually don't remember my dreams so vividly that's why I just had to share it with you. However, I woke up very stressed as a consequence, yet the sun is out and I will take full advantage of it soon. Hopefully it's warmth will destress me.
