brrrr

Can the weather please decide whether or not it will rain, be warm and sunny, be cold and frost? Apparently not in Scotland and especially not in our little village! Doesn't she realise that this is why people get a cold/flue at this time of year? I guess not, weather is dumb, stupid, unintelligent! You heard it here first!

My head feels like a big lump of snot at the moment, I can't focus on anything for too long a time, even writing this post is a hassle in this balloon head state. I speak too loudly in quite places and the sound my nose makes is terrifying to everyone close to me, and my hearing has decreased by thousands...I hope this will end soon - I can't take it anymore! My intake of orange juice has tripled, and I am afraid I will actually kill myself (ex-husband's words not mine) or develop cancer (again blame the information central). My nose looks like a clown's and it is pulsating because of the dry skin that is peeling off more and more frequently, ok maybe I should stop trying to make it look less unappetising and leave it alone. It's hard to control yourself though, in this half zombie state that I am in. Probably I've passed the epicentre of my cold on Thursday, yet you know how it is when it's lingering and you start getting better. One regains one's energy and therefore has more time and place (here!) to moan about it.

This time of year, the what I like to call in-between season, is always catching me in its wicked net, colds developing, sore nose, and even worse feeling frozen to the bone because one couldn't be bothered putting on a woollen sweater when the sun is shining outside and the heating in uni buildings hasn't been put on yet (or maybe it's just since its Sunday they don't expect anyone to be doing any work so they shut it off, the bastards!). So I have my electric heater and my office is now officially a sauna, yet my feet are frozen - why? It's my curse, however warm I get in the winter my feet and hands are always bloody cold and in the summer they never seem to cool down!

I've had enough of this so-called Autumn, bring on winter that's what I say. At least then I'll know to wear woollies all the time!

ok, i shouldn't be mean to sick people, so here's another comment:
don't rely solely on orange juice. remember ginger, garlic and lots of hot tea... get well soon.
